2008 Safety Calendar Art Contest

The results are in!

The 2008 Safety and Health Calendar Art Contest packets were distributed to all visual arts teachers in January and the art contest deadline was February 15, 2008.  The entries have been judged and the results are in.  Click here here see the names of the 12 student artists whose artwork was selected for the 2008-2009 calendar.  Thank you to all the teachers and students who participated in this year's contest and for helping to promote safety and health in the Denver Public Schools.

Safety Books Distributed to DPS Elementary Schools

In August 2007 two more books on safety were distributed to all DPS elementary schools.  The books are Stay Safe by Claire Llewellyn from the QEB Looking After Me Series and Safety in Public Places by Lucia Raatma from The Child's World Living Well Series.  Look for these books in your school library.  They are appropriate for use by teachers, parents and students in grades ECE-3.  Click here for a complete list of Safety Books distributed to elementary school libraries.
